Pepy policies
Privacy Policy
Effective 12 August 2026
Business identity and contact
Pepy operates this Australian online research-compound store and is responsible for the personal information handled through this website. Privacy questions, access or correction requests, and complaints may be submitted through our Contact page or to support@pepy.au.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, account details, delivery and billing address, order and transaction details, contact messages, marketing preferences, wishlist and cart activity, device and browser information, IP address, and website usage information. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
How we use information
We use personal information to provide accounts, process and fulfil orders, validate delivery details, communicate about purchases, provide support, prevent fraud and misuse, improve the website, send marketing where permitted, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.
Stripe payments
Stripe processes payment and related transaction information for checkout, fraud prevention and payment confirmation. Stripe handles payment credentials under its own privacy terms. We receive limited transaction details needed to confirm payment and manage your order.
Base44 services
Base44 provides website hosting, authentication, database, file storage and application infrastructure. Information submitted to the website may be processed and stored through Base44 services so the website and account features can operate.
Outlook communications
We use Microsoft Outlook services to send and receive contact, order confirmation, dispatch and administrative emails. Relevant contact and order information may be processed by Microsoft when those messages are delivered.
Australia Post
We use Australia Post services for Australian suburb and postcode suggestions, delivery and tracking. Delivery details and tracking information may be shared with or processed by Australia Post where required to fulfil and track an order.
Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies, session storage and local storage to maintain authentication, age confirmation, cart, wishlist, discount and preference information. These technologies support website functionality and may also provide basic security and performance information. Browser controls can remove stored data, but doing so may reset these features.
Marketing
If you choose to subscribe, we may use your email address to send product, laboratory-report and research updates. You can unsubscribe using the option in a marketing message or by contacting us. Transactional order and service messages are not marketing communications.
Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes described in this policy, including order fulfilment, customer support, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, dispute handling and other legal obligations. Information that is no longer required is deleted or de-identified where reasonably practicable.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, interference and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Overseas processing
Some service providers, including Stripe, Base44, Microsoft and their infrastructure providers, may process or store information outside Australia. Countries and locations can vary according to provider infrastructure. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and require information to be handled consistently with applicable privacy obligations.
Access and correction
You may ask for access to personal information we hold about you or request that inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading information be corrected. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse a request where permitted by law, in which case we will explain the reason where required.
Privacy complaints
Contact us with details of a privacy concern so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when our practices, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date shown on this page identifies the current version.
